How to adjust Bass and Treble in Windows 11?

Seems MS dsq'd their Windows Equalizer and replaced it with...nothing. Some 3rd party stuff online, not convinced they are engineered for W11 and the Realtec "fixes" don't work on my machine. One year old HP Envy, 1tb SSD/32meg RAM.

This strikes me as an Accessibility issue- I hope MS says "oops" and gets on it quickly.

It is ridiculous that you people don't get the whole point.

It has been like this for over 10 years such as Fireberd figured out why his realtek hd audio manager in Windows 7 back in 2012 didn't have the 10 band EQ. It was because his gigabyte motherboard came with creative soundblaster app that had the 10 band EQ.

If they give you 2 separate EQ --- then you are going to ruin your sound by accidentally turning both on at some time in the future.

99.9% of the time, you will enable the windows built-in EQ and then 6 months later you happen to browse through the windows menu and find Maxxaudio Pro app and the Maxxaudio Pro app has an EQ. So you are going to turn the Maxxaudio Pro EQ on and ruin your sound because you just turn 2 separate EQ on at the same time.

So they have to delete one of the EQ. How hard is it to understand.

The EQ got moved to a dozen possible places --- be it realtek audio console, HP audio app, B&O audio app, Dell audio app, Waves MaxxAudio Pro app, IcePower audio app, Sonic Studio III app, Nahimic audio app, DTS audio app, Dolby audio app...

Of course, a bunch of people got sidetracked by SouthBay_EssEff's solution. I gave him the proper solution --- his EQ got moved to either the HP audio app or the B&O audio app. But he chosed to ignore it and then gave out the most incorrect solution of getting FxSound. Sure there are instances where the premium app gives you smart presets instead of a 10 band EQ --- then and only then should you go and install a 3rd part EQ.

The app is avaible in Microsoft Store for free - and it did wonders for my sound quality :-)

Wouldn't it be better to disable all built in equalizers then use something YOU choose for your needs? Some people prefer graphic, some parametric. Some need a few bands, some need many. Use what you need. Bundled programs are never very good.

What I'd like is a software based low pass filter for a subwoofer. Electronic crossovers are expensive. Computer speakers rarely have good bass. Yet many people have older speakers they used years ago packed away. These can be used to supplement the bass of small computer speakers. And yes, you want 2 because audio is direction above about 80 hz or so. So a single sub on the floor will cause a "hole in the middle" there the lower midrange is gone. Always best to use 2 bass units if you can.

Nobody on this thread has ever talked about whether this EQ or that EQ is better. They only talked about their "missing" EQ --- which wasn't "missing" at all as I have explained in detail. They only complained why the Realtek's EQ is missing and they "fixed" it with their Waves MaxxAudio Pro app. They can't seem to connect the fact that if they give you 2 separate EQ, 99.9% of the general public would accidentally turn BOTH on at some future time and ruin their sound. So the Realtek EQ gets deleted.

Of course, your first post was about not finding the bundled EQ and then your second post was about disabling the bundled EQ. Have you found the EQ in another bundled app? Do you see you are talking complete non-sense?
