I cannot create a minecraft java profile name

I purchased the Xbox gaming service today.

The game asked me to set up an profile, but when I click the "that's me" button, there is no respone.

Please help. Thanks.

    I found a solution! For me I tried everything like logging in and out while reading different articles. The solution that worked for me was to go to the Minecraft website, and where you go to "My games" You should see Minecraft Java, Bedrock, and Dungeons. For me there was a pop-up that says, "Change Skin" or "Profile name" under Minecraft Java. Now if you make a profile name and restart the launcher, you should be able to get in.

    When I go to Minecraft.net all that pops up is my games and it says to buy Java still. I don’t see any pop up to change skin or username

    It is Definitely an Account issue between Microsoft Servers and Minecraft Servers. IMO Mojang and Microsoft NEED to create some kind of uniformity and universality here because this whole you can use microsoft login or mojang is just a freaking train wreck.

    I had the same issue as everyone else but what I had to do is sign in with my OTHER microsoft account. I had 2 and the Mojang-Microsoft servers just dont talk together on account management, it's a mess. MAKE SURE you are using the correct microsoft and Mojang account, try and sign in with others if you have them, the best advice I can give without knowing anyone's specific situation
