Windows 11 - Microphone icon in system tray

I was wondering, is there any way to completely get rid of the microphone icon on the system tray without including adding it onto the "Show hidden icons"?

It's really annoying having that.

i know i dont care about safety on my own pc, in this aspect. obs is always using my mic.. my games are always using my mic.. i always accidentally click this darn icon and it opens up settings... so annoying lol

Joseph already (in a reply to me) said that he meant that the only thing he wanted to say is that MS decided to make this decision to show it always since in some US states they are mandatory to show that a camera or microphone is used. This where most of the complainers are either not from the US (like me) or not from a state where there are such rules.
So in my personal opinion he might have defended that decision of MS to fierce, but can we please close this discussion?
The reason I'm asking is that most things I see is not a reaction to original question, but a flame reaction to Josephs reactions. And yes, in my personal opinion, his counter reactions did not help (sorry Joseph), but imagine yourself when you are "attacked" on something you say. Most people will counter-react in a fierce way.

So please can we close this discussion.

I think that the majority shows that we think that MS should not force icons for microphones and cameras to show up where people do not want them. This even though that in some states of the US people need to be able to see that other people turned them on. This is not up to MS, but up to the users / region of the world. Yes the latter leaves up a lot of space for discussion, but if states of US demand that it is visible, it is up to those states and not up to MS in my opinion (as a non-US citicen).

I just discovered that if you hit Control, the windows button and S, it shrinks it to the side of the top- not blocking anything anymore
