Hello.
I was wondering, is there any way to completely get rid of the microphone icon on the system tray without including adding it onto the "Show hidden icons"?
It's really annoying having that.

Hi, I managed to get rid of it. If you install Windows 10 instead of 11, there's a period where you can switch between the two sort of, and it also lets you switch some of the features. I have the old windows 10 taskbar which includes the microphone icon being gone. It's not fun but it fixes the issue.

Anyways... Waiting for someone to find out a way to hack this thing out.
I care so much about how my tray looks that I made my own icons for Voicemeeter and Razer Synapse so they match the white ones.Win11 would be perfect for me if I could get rid of that mic icon and the 'Recommended' space in the start menu.
The fact that you used the phrase "hack this thing out" meant that you agreed with me that Microsoft is NEVER going to fix this non-problem or else you would be saying that you are "waiting" for Microsoft to fix it.

If Voicemeeter or Shadowplay is recording 24/7, then take it to them --- it's their problem, not Microsoft's problem.
