Windows 11 - Microphone icon in system tray

Hello.

I was wondering, is there any way to completely get rid of the microphone icon on the system tray without including adding it onto the "Show hidden icons"?

It's really annoying having that.

wrong. I want the icon removed. It's annoying and ugly and wasn't there 10 minutes. Ago.

Why is Windows 11 like an endless quest of how to do things you shouldn't need to do?

In the mic privacy setting, it lists what apps last accessed the mic. It was the Geforce user experience for me. Once I uninstalled it, the mic icon went away.

Just download StartAllBack, it fixes almost everything win11 managed to destroy related to taskbar/start menu.

It let's you tuck the mic activity icon under the arrow for more tray icons

I'm back to the setup I was used to for the past decade+, top placement + showing labels + never combine taskbar buttons.
