I. Did accidentally lock a laptop on my network and have trawled the net trying everything that was suggested.

In the end, I removed my hard drive formatted then reloaded every thing from my cloud back up.

All is working now except I still sometimes get this pc is locked, however it still opens with my password.

I have to say Windows help was useless.

hopeless, I ended up reinstalling the machine.

You could try to install the system in another machine, connect with your account, change pin and try new pin in the original machine you have problem with (not tested)

Or you can create a new profile in your machine, and do the same. You should create a new profile using utilman.exe and do the same.

You still need a win bootable usb and then change: net user **<**USERNAME> <PASSWORD>.

This way you can launch a command prompt instead of accessibility controls at the login. (not tested)
