Windows 10 cannot read the installation media USB

Thanks for the suggestions dated Sep.25 2021.

My guess:

A. The OS of the dead-locked PC cannot read the installation media USB.

B. Due to this, any or all kinds of media USB is useless.

Reason for suck a guess:

The reactions when the USB is plugged in the dead PC & when the power of the dead PC is on:

1. The light of the USB is on but not flashing which means not communicating with the OS,
2. There is no any indication showing the OS reads the USB, a sound, blink, flash, message . . . .

About Rufus.

Does Rufus initiatively communicate with the OS of the dead locked PC if an installation media USB is made by Rufus & if the USB is plugged into the PC ?

My guess again:

Need something that can initiatively communicate with the OS of the dead locked PC. & then conduct a re-installation.

What do you think?

I could understand it better now.

In this case the problem is not the pendrive.

It will only start after successfully booting the BIOS and setting the boot order.

There is probably a hardware issue causing the boot not to load the BIOS so it gets stuck on the manufacturer's logo screen.

Try unplugging all disks by removing the cables and verifying that startup exits this screen.

Also try removing the memory sticks and cleaning them, then put them back in and try starting again.

Make sure the startup passes the startup screen.

Yes, that is what I did.

No. I cannot. Cannot get in the BIOS.

The booting process is dead at the point when the manufacturer's logo appears. At this point, there are 2 elements on the screen. One is the manufacturer's logo, and the other is string of words providing the hot keys to get into BIOS, namely Delete, and boot priorities, namely F12. But they are now all dead.

The light of the USB is on, but it seems the OS of the PC does not read the USB at all.

All right, I'll use Rufus to make another installation media USB & try to see what will happen.

Thanks for the information, it was nothing, it's a pleasure to be able to try to help you.

I believe that is not the problem.

Through the MS tool to create the installation USB, it can be created from another computer, just select the option that it will be used on another computer.

Anyway try to create it again in another way, download the ISO and then use the program Rufus to create the USB.

The answer is NO.

Because the PC simply cannot read the installation media USB. The OS is not aware of it.

The installation media USB is made on a different PC, a laptop with Windows 7 Pro. SP 1, 64b.

Might this be the problem?
