Windows 10 cannot read the installation media USB

Most every machine I remember has a power light inside on the motherboard somewhere, but there may be some that do not..

If you are getting the Acer screen, you have at least some power, but there are multiple connections..

Some are 12 volt, some 5 volt, and some I think 3 volt..

Even if they are working, they may not have the correct voltage or current flow.. That is something that is very difficult to determine..

1- The machines have no relation with the operating systems, it turns out that the old machines were different, as technology advances, everything will be smaller and more efficient. And who determines this are the manufacturers, not the system.

2-Generally, problems with date and time, or region, can lead to believe that the CMOS battery needs to be replaced, since it is responsible for storing data while the PC is turned off.

3-If you do not have experience, it is not recommended to change the CMOS battery at home, but take it to a local technical assistance.

No, the battery is just a power source for the BIOS chip, just the same as a battery on a wristwatch. Just make sure you get the right one. I can't quite read the number on yours, but probably Rite Aid (or any such) has a replacement...

I've only ever been inside one computer (ancient Compaq 7470) & can't recall whether a light was inside. I was rarely in there while plugged in, though.

Took it out & cleaned it with a new eraser & tested, no any difference.

Resisters,

Checked them with a flashlight, could not see anything out of shape, all tops flat & none of them had a belly, nor any rust.

In the machines of XP, Vista & Win 7, there was a light inside the machine, in a corner, on or closed to the motherboard, to indicate normal power on.

This is the first time for me to open a machine after 2014. I was surprised by the fact that this machine has fewer stuff in the machine, on the main board & more spacious (everything is smaller) than that of Win 7. Example, there is only one fan, the one cooling the CPU. And there is no light to tell the power on. Is this (no light) normal or abnormal?

2. CMOS battery.

Someone says that the battery might be bad.

How to tell whether it is bad or not?

3. How to replace the CMOS battery?

Buy a new & put is in. Easy. But HOW ABOUT THE BIOS SYSTEM IN THE BATTERY?

Does it come with the battery?
