KB5005565 - Issue accessing Shared Printer

One of the systems(Windows 10 Pro - 21H1) in domain had a shared printer (Epson LX-350) which was inaccessible over the network, print works locally without an Issue.

Print was fired from the network system but ends without an error, one of the error logs in administrative Events suggested error 372 and so followed every step as suggested for “PrintNightmare” but unfortunate nothing worked positive. Tried removing the printer from the network desktop and tried to add the shared printer. Now it wass understood that the issue is something restricting the shared printer to be accessed thru any version of Operating System (Tried with another Win 10 & Win 7 Sp1).

Uninstalled KB505565 and was accessible, What is the technical reason and any work around?

    Managing deployment of Printer RPC binding changes for CVE-2021-1678 (KB4599464)

    In short, try adding/changing the DWORD RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled with the value of 0.

    (under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print)

    PLEASE STOP FORCING THIS UPDATE UNTIL THERE IS A PATCH OR FIX! I am spending my time unistalling the update and pausing updates, for the computers to override this and update anyway.

    Hello, our office is also experiencing the shared printer issue with error code 0x0000011b when trying to connect. Uninstalling update kb5005565 fixes the issue temporarily. I hope there will be a patch fix.

    im also having the same issue over our network shared printer we have a 8 shared printer all over our network and every time the update kb5005565 was installed on the workstation where the printer is installed we cannot print over the network. been un installing the update on a daily basis ever since it was released. please provide permanent solution on this or just disable the said update on your side thanks
