'YES' button on UAC prompt is absent.

There are lots of questions on this on line but no answers which actually work.

The problem is that I was trying to fine a way of saving config files in Microsoft FSX. Everytime I got a 'you're not permitted' response. Then an emergency cropped up and I left what I was doing. When I returned it seemed the PC had decided to do its own thing but I now believe it did a windows update.

The result was that whenever I want to do anything the UAC prompt appears asking me if I really want to. The trouble is the 'YES@ button has disappeared and no offered cure works because the UAC Prompt appears when I try - minus the 'Yes' button so the only option is 'NO'!.

I'm STUCK. Does anyone have a solution that really works - I can't even do a system restore.

    1. Click Windows Keys + X Select PowerShell as Admin
    2. Run the commands below and enter every line

    sfc /scannow

    Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth

    Wait for the processes to finish, restart the computer and run the tests.

    Ho ho Ju! As soon as I select Power Shell (Admin) I get the UAC Prompt without the yes button!!!

    AdrianCooke, let's try it this way here to see if it opens.

    1. Click the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys
    2. Click File and run new task
    3. Type: PowerShell and check the box create this task with administrative privileges
    4. Run the commands below and enter every line

    sfc / scannow

    Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth

    Wait for the processes to complete, restart the computer and run the tests.

    Juh, I get to 3. can ener PowerShell but don't see a box 'create this task with Admin privileges.'
