'YES' button on UAC prompt is absent.

There are lots of questions on this on line but no answers which actually work.

The problem is that I was trying to fine a way of saving config files in Microsoft FSX. Everytime I got a 'you're not permitted' response. Then an emergency cropped up and I left what I was doing. When I returned it seemed the PC had decided to do its own thing but I now believe it did a windows update.

The result was that whenever I want to do anything the UAC prompt appears asking me if I really want to. The trouble is the 'YES@ button has disappeared and no offered cure works because the UAC Prompt appears when I try - minus the 'Yes' button so the only option is 'NO'!.

I'm STUCK. Does anyone have a solution that really works - I can't even do a system restore.

    Haven't been well today Juh. As before. after entering UAC in the search bar I select Change UAC Settings and the prompt appears minus the yes button. We are at an impasse Juh.

    Did you restore keeping the files or not?

    Please do the step below ^^

    1. In the search bar type: UAC and click open
    2. Drag the slider to Always notify and press Ok

    See if it solved

    No Juh. Uac prompt has no yes button you'll recall so I couldn't make a backup! Didn't I reply? It's all getting a little confusing.

    I need some ZZZ now.
