'YES' button on UAC prompt is absent.

There are lots of questions on this on line but no answers which actually work.

The problem is that I was trying to fine a way of saving config files in Microsoft FSX. Everytime I got a 'you're not permitted' response. Then an emergency cropped up and I left what I was doing. When I returned it seemed the PC had decided to do its own thing but I now believe it did a windows update.

The result was that whenever I want to do anything the UAC prompt appears asking me if I really want to. The trouble is the 'YES@ button has disappeared and no offered cure works because the UAC Prompt appears when I try - minus the 'Yes' button so the only option is 'NO'!.

I'm STUCK. Does anyone have a solution that really works - I can't even do a system restore.

    neilpzz, Hi.

    Some years ago I installed Windos 7 so I suppose you'd say Iam using an account created by myself when I sign in I don't use a password. and my account name is of course Adrian.

    As for a built in Administrator account - you are getting beyond me.

    Are you using an account created by yourself as your work a day account or the built-in Administrator account. When you sign-in to Windows 10 does the account have a name or Microsoft account?

    I've read on these forums previously that using the built-in Administrator account can have this problem.

    Juh, I get to 3. can ener PowerShell but don't see a box 'create this task with Admin privileges.'
