intel usb 3.1 extensible host controller not present in device manager

Hello Hello,

Hopefully one will be able to help me. I bought an external ssd (crucial x8) i have a laptop with a USB C 3.1 Gen 2 and when i check usb controllers in device manager i only have the 3.0 usb host. look at the screen cap please . The x8 promesses up to 1050mb/sec but since windows sees my 3.1 gen 2 type c usb as a 3.0 usb im only getting half the speed .. I d like to get full speed .. any genius in the room pls ive tried many options with no success.. (going in bios , reinstalling this and that, update drivers..) I just cant get the 3.1 controllers driver to load or else plss plsss help Thank you

    Hi pal, it didn’t work .. spent many hours on this .. I’m kinda disappointed .. dunno where to turn to now ..

    Hi, I don’t know which one to choose .. I’ll contact acer support tomorrow . Spend many hours on this today .. seems like there’s no answer nowhere .. google, YouTube, tech websites .. nothing nada niet rien ...
