From the Blog:

In the current environment, we know that you continue to rely on your PCs more than ever. As a result, we are initially taking a measured seeker-based approach to the rollout of the May 2021 Update. We are throttling availability up over the coming weeks to ensure a reliable download experience for all, so the update may not be offered to you right away. Additionally, some devices might have a compatibility issue for which a safeguard hold is in place. In these cases, we will not offer the update until we are confident that you will have a good update experience.

Your system has incompatibility issue/s migrating to Windows 10 v21H1.
It is better to wait v21H1 to be offered to you in Windows Update.

I agree. It's what Microsoft recommends as well.

How do I stop Microsoft from updating mu workstation? The latest update was for Version 20h2 which has given me nothing but trouble on another workstation and I am sick and tired of ringing Microsoft to get the problem fixed. **They can't fix it!!!!**I had a perfectly operating workstation and now it has been updated to V20H2 which has screwed up my worfkstation!

Please leave me alone, I do not want your updates they are causing me nothing but trouble.

Dont  know when I got my Version 20H2, but for the last six weeks or so, my PC has been giving me lots of headaches.  In an attempt to fix things I accidentally reformatted my hard drive which erased all my files.  I have been trying to download the latest version released on May 10th in the hopes of curing a multitude of issues, but cant seem to do it.  I had previously spent hours with Norton because I thought that I had a virus.  I need my fix!  I followed the office assistant instructions, but cant get past the Settings.

I don't understand "**It is better to wait v21H1 to be offered to you in Windows Update".**If the update is appearing automatically in

Widows Update and installing itself when I switch on then that is what's happening and I can't stop it. The best I have managed to do is

to delay the install. I am not actively seeking to download this update myself, it just keeps appearing automatically and wrecking my computer.

I never ever had any problems like this with Windows 7, for me this was the best OS Microsoft ever produced, it's like the old saying

"If it ain't broke don't fix it"

Thanks for the help. Certainly agree with you about Windows 7. Maybe I should explore getting it installed on this computer although Microsoft will probably drop its support of it, if it hasnt already.

    Split from this thread.

    Hello everyone,

While installing 21H1, the update assistant is asking to delete everything because "Windows might be installed in an unsupported directory". I would not like to lose all my data to install an update. I have already checked my Registry keys for the correct parameters for Program Files. I tried restarting, shutdown, reinstalling updates, etc. If I cancel the update, I get  0Xc1900205 error. Any suggestions?
