It is better to wait v21H1 to be offered to you in Windows Update.I agree. It's what Microsoft recommends as well.

Widows Update and installing itself when I switch on then that is what's happening and I can't stop it. The best I have managed to do is
to delay the install. I am not actively seeking to download this update myself, it just keeps appearing automatically and wrecking my computer.
I never ever had any problems like this with Windows 7, for me this was the best OS Microsoft ever produced, it's like the old saying
"If it ain't broke don't fix it"
