In the current environment, we know that you continue to rely on your PCs more than ever. As a result, we are initially taking a measured seeker-based approach to the rollout of the May 2021 Update. We are throttling availability up over the coming weeks to ensure a reliable download experience for all, so the update may not be offered to you right away. Additionally, some devices might have a compatibility issue for which a safeguard hold is in place. In these cases, we will not offer the update until we are confident that you will have a good update experience.

    I am glad to hear that.

    (1) If it was 21H1, itself, that you uninstalled, it will come in as an optional asking that you "Download & install" it. Just don't start it. But I think I would try it once more, though, since it is quick to install, & we know you can successfully uninstall it.

    (2) If it was the cumulative update 19043.985, also let it try once more. If it comes in badly again, uninstall it again, & block it with WUShowHide...

    But it appears no longer to be offered by Microsoft. So maybe take it from majorgeeks. But I know nothing (bad or good) about any downloads or links offered at that 3rd-party site (or anywhere else).

    Thankyou. This worked. I was a little alarmed when the computer restarted and started "updating"; worried that the update was the one id just removed. How will i ensure that the same update doesnt get reinstalled and work its black magic again? 😉 GT

    Nope, doesn't work for me. Says got VM on my computer- I already deleted my android emulator and deleted VM- why does it still pop-up???
