Another option that seems to work just fine if you happen to already have your Epic Games Launcer installed on another drive other than C:.

Create the Epic Games folder in:

    C:\Program Files (x86)

So you path will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games.

    Then run the EpicOnlineServics.msi from

    [MY INSTALL LOCATION]\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\EOS\EpicOnlineServics.msi

This way you don't have to go through reinstalled the laucher to where you don't want it.

Thx for this solution. If you do that, where gets the EOS installed? In the C folder or at its regular location, next to the launcher?

Does the folder you created on drive C contain something after doing that or is the EOS installed where the launcher is?

    Hi everyone,

i got a reply from Epic. They told me, that they forwarded this problem to the development and hope it can be fixed in a future update. Seems like this is all we get up to now.

    Best regards

    Hi @SuperMario_48

It does unfortunately get installed into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Epic Online Services" with my solution but it is quite small (about 27Mb) and for me of no consequence.

Nothing like the huge install the is VaultCache etc.. :)
