Does the folder you created on drive C contain something after doing that or is the EOS installed where the launcher is?
EOS ERR 1603 epic games online installer
I keep getting this error message when triyng to install the epic games online services installer- EOS ERR 1603 - I already have Microsoft Framework 3.5 installed on my hard drive- not sure how to fix this- it seems to be making my EPic Games unusable which sucks.

2021-05-05T06:00:50+00:00 Another option that seems to work just fine if you happen to already have your Epic Games Launcer installed on another drive other than C:.
Create the Epic Games folder in:
C:\Program Files (x86)
So you path will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games.
Then run the EpicOnlineServics.msi from
[MY INSTALL LOCATION]\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\EOS\EpicOnlineServics.msi
This way you don't have to go through reinstalled the laucher to where you don't want it.
Thx for this solution. If you do that, where gets the EOS installed? In the C folder or at its regular location, next to the launcher?

2021-05-03T09:12:15+00:00 Hi everyone,
thx for all the answers.
So it seems like, that this is a EpicGames and not a Microsoft problem. I have not tested the solutions so far, but installing the Launcher on C isn´t an option for me in any way, so im going to contact the Epic-Support about this and i will reference to this thread so they see, that this is not a windows problem. As soon as i get an answer, i will post it here.
Best regards
