Microsoft account won't connect to Minecraft services on Minecraft: Java Edition Launcher

It kind of sounds like your saying the solution is to buy a game again thats already owned ,

figured id give the official launcher a try again , something ive been doing monthly for what seems like an unreasonable amount of time at this point

Launch the launcher (check)

Log into Microsoft account (check)

Loads my xbox account (check) something i did not want and should not be forced to have

Reloads launcher and shows im logged in top left (EPIC fail) "Oh no something went wrong and can not connect to Microsoft services"

offline play available only click here to buy the game again ....

so third party launcher

Loading tlauncher (check)

connecting to Microsoft services and validating account (check)

Game launched and working fine

Is this something anyone else is experiencing the exact same issue ?

Ive already done all the normal things installing reinstalling getting updates as it asked and no matter what some thing, Im not a windows user and am not logged into Microsoft 24 hrs a day via something in the windows settings

Im just so over it , does anyone know how i can talk to a person at Microsoft, ive been on the site for over an hr just getting sent around circular set of links , is this whats going to happen to all my other games as they gobble up all the companies? I just want to talk to a real person

Don't use the minecraft launcher from Microsoft store just download the minecraft launcher it self. You won't be able to play minecraft: bedrock edition but you'll be able to connect to the servers for java edition.

If anyone has read to page TEN of this, since that's where we are now, I may have a fix for you.

First off this is 100% an issue on Microsofts end and I get sick of these answers pages being filled with completely valid complaints while a giant corporation like Microsoft pushes the blame off like it's someone else's fault.

For me, the issue was the Xbox app. For one thing, the Microsoft store was installing the launcher directly, when it's apparently supposed to redirect you to the Xbox app. When I restarted my computer and thus actually got it to do that, it repeatedly opened and closed the login screen super fast. I left it doing that while I did some googling and to my surprise it stopped when it was done loading everything (slowly). Once it was done the launcher still wasn't working. I then manually signed out of my account in the Xbox app, signed back in, and all was well.

At no point did I even question that this was Microsoft's fault, not Mojang. The standalone launcher from Mojang works fine because it's your software going haywire, not their account system. Get your **** together, Microsoft, this is pathetic.
