Whenever I open the Minecraft launcher signed in as my Microsoft account which is my only account it will show me a message that says: "Oh no! Something went wrong, and we couldn't connect to Minecraft Services" and the Play button is replaced with a Play offline button but once I click that to play offline, it will say I need to make a profile even though I have a profile and have been playing the game until this error occurred. But once I click to create a profile, it will sign me into the Minecraft website and bring me to my account profile screen where it will give me the message: "Something went wrong... press reload to try again." and once I click reload, nothing changes. this error happened on Friday, May 28th.

I never played minecraft until I bought it from the microsoft store and installed their launcher, so i never had a mojang account. I cannot try on a different device because I only have one pc. This problem occur intermittently when launching the java version but I can always play the bedrock version. I bought both in Jan 2022. This is a microsoft launcher problem. I cannot see any other cause.

I did buy the game with a Microsoft account, have already been playing it using the launcher from the web and the launcher from the Microsoft store has horrible reviews, so I know it’s not just me having issues.

It might not be a problem with the launcher, I got the launcher and it works just fine for me, I bought it using a Microsoft account, so try making a Microsoft account that wasn't migrated from a Mojang account and buy the game then see if that works. I bought the game using this account and haven't any problems like this ever, also you cannot play offline until you have played the Java version through the launcher Online (while connected to Microsoft services in the launcher) at least once, I know this because when I first went to play I saw a message saying something like "You can play offline once you play online once" or something like that.

Also have you tried this on other devices to see if it is an issue with the one device or if it is an issue with the Microsoft account. Like I said I bought it through this Microsoft account and once I played it online once then it never gave me any trouble playing offline. So try using a different device (laptop/PC) and also try making a new Microsoft account, buy the game through https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-bedrock-edition-pc and also if you scroll down and click the Minecraft: Java Edition System Requirements and scroll down some in bold it will say Internet connectivity is required for downloading Minecraft files, afterwards offline play is possible.
