Microsoft account won't connect to Minecraft services on Minecraft: Java Edition Launcher

Whenever I open the Minecraft launcher signed in as my Microsoft account which is my only account it will show me a message that says: "Oh no! Something went wrong, and we couldn't connect to Minecraft Services" and the Play button is replaced with a Play offline button but once I click that to play offline, it will say I need to make a profile even though I have a profile and have been playing the game until this error occurred. But once I click to create a profile, it will sign me into the Minecraft website and bring me to my account profile screen where it will give me the message: "Something went wrong... press reload to try again." and once I click reload, nothing changes. this error happened on Friday, May 28th.

    mine will work , on RARE occasion , this nonsense really has been going on long enough , sometimes it will load and ask me to log into Microsoft, sometimes it just wont do anything , sometimes im able to get logged in but then it says offline only. i can log in EVERY single time on t launcher, anyone who says its illegal does not know what they are talking about. it verifies me via Microsoft then lets me log in . I am a non windows users , friends of mine are not having the same issue but they are on windows and always logged in to their Microsoft account , really hoping at some point they sort it out . i don't get a lot of free time to play and more often then not i spend 30 min trying to get the official launcher to do something and then don't have time or am so aggravated i just don't play. just seems too much like another instance of non windows users getting screwed

    Oh yeah as for the buy bedrock/java get the other free that only works if you game pass for PC and even then you will have payed for the game in game pass for PC in 3 to 5 months depending on if you can use the get game pass for PC for a $1 for 2 months. And once you stop game pass for PC you lose the other edition of Minecraft.

    THe windows 7 / 8 launcher began to work when Microsoft or Mojang fixed the 401 error I found in the logfile.

    checking the logfile seems to be a good idea if one exists. I only have the java edition. Not the newer versions and I cnnot install Minecraft on Windows 11 since none of my pc's has Windows 11 support (newest pc is from 2015 or 2016)

    I don't think you can do anything more than simply go to https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/ and buy Minecraft Java from there as that is what I did and I have not had any problems playing Java since.     I have also checked on another pc if the problem is my pc. It is not as the problem persists on the other pc as well.

    My brother has also bought Minecraft starter pack and he gets the same problem, so it's not an issue with the account or the pc.

    I have also checked the internet.

    Please try and fix this as soon as possible as i really want to play Java edition but due to this error I cannot.
