After installing this update, you might receive an APC_INDEX_MISMATCH error with a blue screen when attempting to print to certain printers in some apps. Issue resolved with an out-of-band update. Well, I received both the cumulative update and the Intel Microcode update just fine. I still have Windows 10 Home, version 1909 OS build 18363.1440. I decided not to try and use the the media creation tool to upgrade, and I'm glad I didn't. From what I'm understanding, I should receive the upgrade at the end of cycle: "Windows 10 Home does not support the deferral of feature updates and will therefore typically receive a new version of Windows 10 prior to the end-of-service date shown." I have Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 3210M CPU @ 2.50 GHz - 2.50 GHz. I also have Intel Turbo Boost which boosts up to 3.10 GHz. The Intel Microcode update went just fine, and so did the Cumulative Update. The reason I could not upgrade to Version 2004 was because of Conexant Smartaudio HD. I tried to update at Dell to the latest Driver they offered for my Laptop. I have a Dell i5 Inspiron 7520 with 6 GB memory. The Bios mode is Legacy, and I have a 750 GB hard drive. The only thing holding me back was the Conexant Smartaudio HD. I tried to get help from Dell with the problem, and they refused any type of support because my laptop was one year over warranty. I was even willing to pay for the one year software support they had, and the Dell tech wouldn't even help with that. He said I couldn't even have that type of support. So I worked on the problem on my own. I downloaded the the latest driver for my laptop from Dell, I had to restart afterward. After reboot, I discovered that the Conexant Smartaudio HD driver was gone. In other words, it disappeared and I had no audio. I went into the Device Manager, and discovered something new regarding the sound - Hardware Unknown. I uninstalled that, and it offered me an update for Microsoft High Definition Audio Device. I believe that's the generic high definition audio driver from Microsoft and it works just fine. The next thing I did was uninstall the new driver update version of Conexant Smartaudio HD in Programs & Features. It uninstalled without a problem. The generic Microsoft High Definition Audio is working just fine. I also have Logitech external speakers which are working great, and the microphone for things like Cortana is working with the Microsoft High Definition Audio. When I found out I would receive the new upgrade (version) at the end of the life cycle, I decided to let that take its course.

i doubt it was avg stopping the install as i took it off and when i restarted got the microsoft windows defintions but the cumalitive update didn't show up, and avg it does and although it's failed twice i'll keep trying

Like "lacrumb" said no need like: The best antivirus for Windows 10 Is Windows Security and Malwarebytes. And to maintain and if, in addition to use 3-party security program, which is compatible with the together and giving the right to carry out Defenner check to random inspections / maintenance grip due alive, and thus the security updates are settled smoothly into the home appliances which I consider a family / couple familiar above. I used DISM to uninstall it and the SSU but now it is reinstalling, so maybe it has not been pulled.

Well, I received both the cumulative update and the Intel Microcode update just fine. I still have Windows 10 Home, version 1909 OS build 18363.1440.
