Haven't forgotten about you Louie. Life happens! Thanks for the screenshots. I sure was hoping someone with
more knowledge than myself could have helped you by now 🤔. As I've mentioned before, I'm no computer
expert and am learning myself as things go along.
I'm hesitant to give you wrong/harmful information/advice. That being said:
On the troubleshooting screenshot you posted, at the bottom where it says "View detailed information" --
did you click on that and see if it gave any further information? How old is your laptop/desktop? Make/Model????
By chance, have you tried logging in as Administrator when trying to get updates? Do you run any 3rd party
anti-virus software, VPN's, Malwarebytes, Ccleaner programs? - anything like that? -
Sometimes those programs CAN interfere with an update.
Before I tell you about how I did the update there are several IMPORTANT things to do before running the program,
and I do not have the time tonight to explain. I will try tomorrow. In the meantime I'm curious for answers
to the above questions I asked about.
If you haven't already, I would take the TIME needed for you to back up important files from your computer.
Too many users have lost precious photos, files, years of work, etc. Personally, I back up to
an external hard drive, flash drives, DVDs, a few things I store in a cloud service. Whatever it takes to save
what you don't want to lose. If you haven't, it's a good and necessary project for you to do before updating to 20H2....
it's good practice anytime actually! Computers crash and your stuff is GONZO. Where is mrdbeta when I need him? 😄
In regard to your questions:
You can web search the features in Windows 10 20H2 if you're so inclined. Not sure what you mean by resetting
your pc. As far as setbacks... uhhhh, depends upon whom you ask. Those who have many problems will say YES
others will say NO and others SO-SO!! It's a ****-shoot. I'll wait to see your answers to above.
Hello again!
So I did run the troubleshooter again, and this is literally what popped up when I pressed "view detailed info"
so there is a scroll wheel option where you can scroll down, but those were all issues that were not present.
To answer your questions:
I actually got my pc at Austin Computers, and I got it last year at around the 26th of Dec, so basically boxing day or probably a few days after that. So it is quite recent.
With the Model, I searched up how to find the model, I'm not sure if you this is what u specifically wanted this but here you go.
------- Picture of System Info.
To get to the model of my pc I searched System Information > System Summary > System Model
The model is MS-7B84
I actually do have a anti-malware software which is the free version of Bitdefender. However if worse comes to worse and I cant find the problem, I will delete the apps that I have recently downloaded and delete them and see if one of those apps were the problem. (I will do this as a last resort) I do have the adblocker chrome extension if that helps with anything.
I actually haven't tried doing updates with administrator, but I'm not sure how to do it. Could you please tell me?
Hopefully I answered your needed questions, looking forward to your reply. If you need anything else feel free to ask!
Thank you once again!
