Windows 10 update stuck at 61% for 4 days

Does anyone have a solution to why the Windows 10 version 20H2 sticks at 61%? This has continued now for 4 days. Thanks.

Here is a CURE of this disease---- Real issue is outdated CONEXANT audio driver, check your pc if you have installed it, UNINSTALL IT, it get installed with Sennheiser headphone software or may be other audio driver would have installed it.

If you use Sennheiser headphones then uninstall its driver software and then restart and open update and wait it will install everything, make sure you have not connected any other device except wired mouse, keyboard and monitor. I AM SURE REMOVING SENNHEISER DRIVERS WILL HELP 100%. After update you can reinstall those drivers. Hope I helped you. If you don't use Sennheiser then uninstall any headphone or external audio driver and only hit and try will help. It's just driver issue. Thank me later. Ask me again if you can't fix it

    I had the same problem and resolved it by downloading Microsoft's Media Creator and updating using that.

    Note that it took over 10 hours on the target laptop. This laptop had the 2015 Conexant drivers and with Media Creator, the update worked.

    My internet connection is FTTH (1Gbps U/D) so the time was the actual update. The key is that my target Lenovo Yoga 2 laptop was successfully updated to 20H2 and brought up to date.

    Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope by now your issue has been resolved.

    I actually have Conexant devices and drivers installed on my Lenovo laptop so that may be the problem.
    The Windows 10 Update assistant failed for me.

    It's been several days when I posted my issue and it hasn't been resolved. However, Microsoft posted a windows 10 update options notification  alert on my device this morning (2021-05-13)  that a windows 10 2021-05 cumulative update for Windows 10 V1909 was pending download.

    I downloaded and ran that update. It was applied successfully.

    I will try to download and install Windows 10 version 20H2 next.

    Another  possible solution they may help.

    I removed everything Conexant related after the update got stuck at 61% to no avail.

    Forgot about it until today, having looked for a solution I tried the UA which gave an error messge as that failed too.

    Checked again for Conexant, nothing found. Looked at my devices list in Device manager and saw Nvidia High definition audio and Nvidia virtual audio device. These output audio through the HDMI port of my video card. I haven't been using them and no drivers are installed but disabling them in Device manager has allowed the UA to get to 97%  of the update with no probelms.
