[Windows update installing the new Edge browser] Update KB4559309 Makes Computer Unbearably Slow

Last night I updated my windows 10 pro using KB:4559309. Since then my computer performance has absolutely tanked. my startup time is probably triple, loading any window has a few second delay.

I attempted to uninstall the update however windows tells me that it is required and cannot be removed.

This update has essentially rendered my brand new computer useless.

Please help!

Hey there, everyone

I have spoken to Missy Quarry, from the Edge team, and they are investigating this problem. However, they really need more details submitted though the Feedback Hub on Windows 10.

To submit feedback, please go to start > Feedback Hub.

You will need to click onto report a problem. Then enter your feedback/problem you are having with Microsoft Edge. On the categories you will need to make sure you have the following drop down options selected in the image underneath:

The more detail you can submit, the better it will be for the Edge team to find out what is causing this issue. So the detail box that has the test comment, should detail everything you are experiencing.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

On 7/10 there was an update that AGAIN I do not want.  I called and the Tech restored my laptop back to the previous version of Edge.  7/31 another unwanted update occurred and I could not stop it so I called again and the Tech said can't and won't restore to a previous version of that day.  Some of my apps will not work on this update.  Works great with IE but I want to use Edge BUT NOT with these updates.  Why are you doing this?? This is MY laptop and I should be able to say what if anything is downloaded on it.  I keep pausing the updates but you do this when my laptop is in sleep mode.  I want these updates uninstalled and back to the previous version so I can use my apps etc.  Also videos will not play on some sites I use all the time now.
