[Windows update installing the new Edge browser] Update KB4559309 Makes Computer Unbearably Slow

Last night I updated my windows 10 pro using KB:4559309. Since then my computer performance has absolutely tanked. my startup time is probably triple, loading any window has a few second delay.

I attempted to uninstall the update however windows tells me that it is required and cannot be removed.

This update has essentially rendered my brand new computer useless.

Please help!

Hey there, everyone

I have spoken to Missy Quarry, from the Edge team, and they are investigating this problem. However, they really need more details submitted though the Feedback Hub on Windows 10. 

To submit feedback, please go to start > Feedback Hub. 

You will need to click onto report a problem. Then enter your feedback/problem you are having with Microsoft Edge. On the categories you will need to make sure you have the following drop down options selected in the image underneath:

The more detail you can submit, the better it will be for the Edge team to find out what is causing this issue. So the detail box that has the test comment, should detail everything you are experiencing.

    Not good enough, this should not happen in the first place, i am away from home working and now this faulty update has shut down my pc

    This update screwed up my fingerprint scanner.  Windows Hello says it's not available for neither face nor fingerprint.  There's no immediate option to remove this update and I'm not able to roll-back because the system says it's be 'more than 10 days'.  The update was done July 5th....  Also, the manual removal provided by Rhaines (Microsoft) doesn't work either. 

    The Edge Chromium update is a big DUD.

    Nope.  Didn't help.  Still unable to use Windows Hello fingerprint or face login.  Something else was embedded with the update.
