[Windows update installing the new Edge browser] Update KB4559309 Makes Computer Unbearably Slow

Last night I updated my windows 10 pro using KB:4559309. Since then my computer performance has absolutely tanked. my startup time is probably triple, loading any window has a few second delay.

I attempted to uninstall the update however windows tells me that it is required and cannot be removed.

This update has essentially rendered my brand new computer useless.

Please help!

I have spoken to Missy Quarry, from the Edge team, and they are investigating this problem. However, they really need more details submitted though the Feedback Hub on Windows 10. 

To submit feedback, please go to start > Feedback Hub. 

You will need to click onto report a problem. Then enter your feedback/problem you are having with Microsoft Edge. On the categories you will need to make sure you have the following drop down options selected in the image underneath:

The more detail you can submit, the better it will be for the Edge team to find out what is causing this issue. So the detail box that has the test comment, should detail everything you are experiencing.

    This Update is just Edge Chromium Update, there are tons of guides now to uninstall new Edge:

    KB4559309 is clearly not just Edge. You can install the Edge update by itself and it will cause zero issues to performance of other applications. Microsoft has hidden something else in this update, a security patch maybe? But clearly it's not playing well with many systems.

    Not the best solution but since system restore and manual removal of the update failed for me I updated my Win10 to version 2004 and stopped having the performance issues caused by this update.

    Thank you Girofox! That got rid of that Chromium ****! Good ol' original Edge was still there, along with all my old bookmarks, logins, etc.
