Last night I updated my windows 10 pro using KB:4559309. Since then my computer performance has absolutely tanked. my startup time is probably triple, loading any window has a few second delay.

I attempted to uninstall the update however windows tells me that it is required and cannot be removed.

This update has essentially rendered my brand new computer useless.

Please help!

Hey there, everyone

I have spoken to Missy Quarry, from the Edge team, and they are investigating this problem. However, they really need more details submitted though the Feedback Hub on Windows 10.

To submit feedback, please go to start > Feedback Hub.

You will need to click onto report a problem. Then enter your feedback/problem you are having with Microsoft Edge. On the categories you will need to make sure you have the following drop down options selected in the image underneath:

The more detail you can submit, the better it will be for the Edge team to find out what is causing this issue. So the detail box that has the test comment, should detail everything you are experiencing.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

I have been a holdout for PC instead of adopting MAC.  Recently, however I am disgusted with Windows and their ridiculous, crappy updates.  They cause way more problems than help.  After a recent update both my laptop and desktop are unable to print.  I have spent hours utilizing Microsoft's solutions with no luck whatsoever.  I tried to contact a someone through support but got a computerized agent who sent me down the rabbit hole.  After trying numerous suggestions, it finally said that I can speak to a real agent.  When I proceeded, it sent me into a forum with endless topics and no person.  Microsoft should keep the main thing the main thing.  It seems that they are more concerned with politics, vaccines and TikTok while letting their software cause undo stress and anxiety not to mention loss of productivity.

That sound like your PC/Laptop is infected with a Trojan or Virus, or your browser has been "hijacked" by Malware - do a full system scan with whatever Anti Virus you have, and if you only have Windows Security (new name for Defender) go and run that, let it quarantine what it needs to, then reboot. If you do not know how to do any of that, take it to a PC repair shop and get them to check it out.

Another way could be to download the latest free version of MalwareBytes, install it, and do a full manual scan, if Windows Security does not find anything..

By the way, this forum is for issues with KB4559309 issues ONLY, so please re-post this on one of the Windows Security forum posts if you want to research more.
