For Office 2007 File Validation IssueGo to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Find OFV.CAB and extract it.

You'll have OFV.msi

Install it and hit Retry on Windows Update.

    windows update error 0x80240023 office file validation windows  ver 2004

    I have the same error, my computer is not update at all. For example, the section Other from Settings show me 3.50 G used and the content inside show me few Mb. What is going on?

    Hello MichelC4,

                 Thank you so much for this guide. I noticed that for some people it did not work, but it solved the issue for me.  Please keep your advice coming for other problems as well.  I believe you can continue to help those of us that are not fully computer literate solve our problems.  Have a wonderful day.
