windows update error 0x80240023

Run the wsreset.exe app. Click Win + R and type wsreset.exe and hit Enter. A Command Prompt windows opens up with Microsoft Store's old icon. Don't type anything in it- wait for 30 secs. After 30 secs, it will quit and Store will open. Close it and retry the error update.

I had problems with Windows cumulative updates and Office updates and this solved everything for me.

Does anyone has a quick way to solve error KB4592449? Someone wrote it can be solved by reset the laptop. I wonder if it can be solved in command prompt by simply typing several commands.. Reset laptop is a pain.. always//

For Office 2007 File Validation IssueGo to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Find OFV.CAB and extract it.

You'll have OFV.msi

Install it and hit Retry on Windows Update.

 Thanks to MichelC4 solution and the update error is solved for now. It was never happened in my laptops all along and this time occurred in my new Lenovo which I had just received 2 days ago.
