For Office 2007 File Validation IssueGo to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Find OFV.CAB and extract it.

You'll have OFV.msi

Install it and hit Retry on Windows Update.

    Hey DickMiller2, Hope you have got the solution to the Windows update error code 0x80240023. If you still having an issue you can find the following method to fix it:

    Go to the Microsoft update catalog.

    Download a validation tool

    Now, type Microsoft Office File Validation Add-in in the search bar and hit the Enter button to perform the search action.

    Download it by clicking on the download button

    Click on the Download button to download it.

    Now, go to the download folder and extract the files in the chosen folder, and run the OFV file inside that folder.

    After completion of the installation, run Windows Update again.

    That's it ...
