windows update error 0x80240023

Hi, i just kept trying to update, i got the up date in the end, i just kept trying  i looked for a answer everywere, nothing come up, it updated in the end, that all i can say just keep trying, it not a quick fix office 2007 is one for the last serial numbers out, its all gone digital now, when i do a reset to a clean computer and install again i will lose 2007, the updates for 2007 will not be there anymore with microsoft, so i would got the new office, you can get it for £69 with microsoft store, if you like me i dont use often but it there,,,,,,, SORRY THERES NO FIX as far as i know, it worked for me on the update, i didnt go into it much after it worked for me, just keep trying, took me days to get the update, but its working now, there is so many files to try and copy to keep your 2007 working, the intergratain everywere ,,,, my advice is keep trying if it dont work buy office , i cant help its only what i done to keep it working

There is no need to do all this file extractions stuff. All you need to do is wait 6-12 hours, usually over night is all. The File Validation update will eventually update automagically.

For Office 2007 File Validation IssueGo to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Find OFV.CAB and extract it.

You'll have OFV.msi

Install it and hit Retry on Windows Update.

i extracted the file but it still wont update
