For Office 2007 File Validation IssueGo to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Find OFV.CAB and extract it.

You'll have OFV.msi

Install it and hit Retry on Windows Update.

    There is no need to do all this file extractions stuff. All you need to do is wait 6-12 hours, usually over night is all. The File Validation update will eventually update automagically.

    windows update error 0x80240023 office file validation windows  ver 2004

    I have the same error, my computer is not update at all. For example, the section Other from Settings show me 3.50 G used and the content inside show me few Mb. What is going on?
