For Office 2007 File Validation IssueGo to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Find OFV.CAB and extract it.

You'll have OFV.msi

Install it and hit Retry on Windows Update.

    For Office 2007 File Validation IssueGo to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

    Find OFV.CAB and extract it.( if you didnt find this file then , just make a search and you will find it).

    You'll have OFV.msi

    Install it and goback again to windows update and hit the Retry icon on Windows Update , and you will update.

    I'm using Win10 vers. 2004.

    I tried to install Office 2007 on a new laptop.  All security updates were installed, but I started getting 0x80240023 (WE_E_EULAS_DECLINED) for Microsoft Office File Validation Add-in.

    Troubleshooter does not work: It says everything is fine.

    I tried deleting all the update files in System Distribution, but that did not work, either.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Nigel,

    The error cleared the next day after posting this.  I clicked the "Retry" button and the license agreement came up, I accepted it, and the error cleared (update installed).
