How to stop being logged out of everything automatically when I turn off my laptop

Can anyone help me please?  I installed a Windows 10 update on 23 June 2020 and, ever since then, whenever I turn my laptop on (after it being shut down) I find that have been logged off from everything.  This didn't happen prior to the update and it is happening every time I turn my laptop back on.  So it looks like when I shut down my laptop it is automatically logging me out of every application so when I turn it back on I have to log in to everything all over again (Outlook, OneDrive etc.)  Is there anything I can do to stop this?  It's infuriating!  Also, info that is usually remembered on websites that I use frequently e.g. ID numbers, passwords etc are also cleared whenever I shut down my laptop, even though I am checking the 'keep me logged in' boxes.  Any advice would be much appreciated.

    So after a while I was so mad I had to do something while Microsoft did nothing. The only thing that helped me was creating a new local user. But as if it wasn’t complicated enough Windows did not want to let me create a new one. 

    Steps I had to do to solve my problem:

        1. Enable administrator account via cmd

        2. Create new local user also via cmd 

        3. Log in as new user

        4. Log out and log in as administrator 

        5. Copy old user folder over to the new one 

    I had to reinstall some things again but mostly everything was fine. Hope this helps.

    Oh gosh, that sounds too complicated for me - I would no know where to start and fear I would make everything worse. I is so frustrating :(

    It seems that the quality of Microsoft products is just going down the hill over time. I had Android phone, now iPhone and iPad and Microsoft apps are buggy everywhere. And now, I also have these log off issues...How amazing, Microsoft.

    The worst I think -as soon as you look for an issue - you see that people reported it years ago and nothing was fixed ever since. May be I should also, as one of the guys in this thread, think to move onto a Mac with their M1X chips next year and just run this "OS" in a virtual box when I need it.....

    This is getting ridiculous.  As well as being logged out of everything whenever I shut down, I'm now being logged out of Gmail while I'm actually using the laptop. Please, Microsoft, fix this.

    Same issue here, on two PC's and problems started with a recent update. To make matters worse each PC has multiple accounts for work/play/kids and logging out a user also logs them out of services. List includes:

    1. Chrome
    2. Google drive sync
    3. What's app web
    4. Facebook
    5. Websites (I assume because windows logged me out of chrome)
    6. Duo (yes, someone actually does use it!! It's terrible :( )
    7. Skype

    Partial solution: Have bought a Chromebook and moved much of my work away from Windows.

    Also tried the control panel suggestion, but I see no windows credentials and the generic credential names are meaningless so I've no idea if/what to delete. Also scanned each PC for malware etc. and they are clean.

    I am having the exact same problem as you.  Getting logged out while still using my laptop.  Very frustrating that Microsoft has not addressed this issue yet.
