How to stop being logged out of everything automatically when I turn off my laptop

Can anyone help me please?  I installed a Windows 10 update on 23 June 2020 and, ever since then, whenever I turn my laptop on (after it being shut down) I find that have been logged off from everything.  This didn't happen prior to the update and it is happening every time I turn my laptop back on.  So it looks like when I shut down my laptop it is automatically logging me out of every application so when I turn it back on I have to log in to everything all over again (Outlook, OneDrive etc.)  Is there anything I can do to stop this?  It's infuriating!  Also, info that is usually remembered on websites that I use frequently e.g. ID numbers, passwords etc are also cleared whenever I shut down my laptop, even though I am checking the 'keep me logged in' boxes.  Any advice would be much appreciated.

    On another thread I posted confirmation that this problem can definitely be caused (on my PC, at least) by the Google Chrome Elevation Service. See https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/signed-out-of-everything-on-reboot/4abe91e9-d351-4b45-b79d-bd9a1dc85f45?page=9

    The downside is that this Elevation service is part of Google's mechanism for updating its software. It would need to be periodically re-enabled to update Chrome (and possibly other Google software).

    While I am 99.9999% sure from my testing that this does cause the problem, there could be other causes.

    Many software providers are going to automatic updates these days. It is part of the SaaS model. It may be that deleting login cookies is thought to be a necessary part of the process in some instances for technical or security reasons.

    As you suggested in the thread you linked, I installed firefox and am using that instead of edge/chrome/opera, and that seems to have completely solved the problem! Thanks so much!

    It sure would be nice to hear something directly from Microsoft on this issue, rather than folks hunting and pecking, stand on one foot and facing North to see if it fixes the issue.  Is anyone from Microsoft even looking at this Microsoft site?

    This issue has been going on for over 6 months now, it's absolutely shocking that Microsoft still haven't done anything about it. This thread is full of people who've used Windows computers for decades, who are now going out and buying Macs instead because they're so sick of this issue, and of Microsoft's lazy attitude about it. It's completely unacceptable that they've let such a major problem drag out for this long.

    This is just great. Still no solution. It happened to me on a freshly bought copy of Windows PRO! I bought a couple more copies for my future employees. Do I have to expect that everyone will have this issue. I cant expect people to spend there first half an hour of every working day to set up windows and all the other apps they need... This is shameful!
