Pen tablet makes black screen when i'm using program from microsoft

Making the change in Word Options/Pen/ Use pen to select...   Did not help.

This problem started for me in the last month or two. Draw was working very well in Word, Whiteboard, PPT, Excel, Snip & Sketch until then, and now the screen blacks out until I stop moving the pen..Strangely another problem reappeared...the line I draw drops down 3-7 lines after i stop drawing it, so the line is not where i wanted it (this was a problem in the past that went away)

There were no changes, other than updates, that I am aware of.

I am just using the touchpad or a mouse to draw with.

The screen blinking issue described in the yellow box of this Microsoft article:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/security-policy-settings/increase-scheduling-priority  It is most annoying and highly disruptive particularly when trying to use Microsoft Whiteboard and OneNote.

The article above and "rpertusio" post on Page 5 of this thread both describe adding Window Manager\Window Manager Group to the Increase scheduling priority item under Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment.

I had to get some help from our GPO administrator, but after he made the suggested change the blinking has stopped.

I have the same problem.  I have a Dell Inspiron 5570 touch screen and a Wacom pen tablet.  The pen tablet was working fine for over 6 weeks, then Windows updated in early June.  Now, when I try using the Wacom pen tablet, it works for a couple minutes then the screen flickers a couple times then goes black.  I have to force it to restart by holding down the power button.  I ran the bluetooth troubleshooting program several times.  It says it fixed the problem:  "Problem Found - Check the Bluetooth Radio Status

• Fixed".  But the problem persists.

I waited a couple weeks, then bought an XP-Pen Tablet G960S Plus.  It is doing the same thing.  I have tried re-installing software to no avail.  

I am a teacher.  School will be starting again soon online and it is imperative that I have the ability to write with a pen tablet.  Please, fix this problem and send out an update!

I began using the Microsoft Whiteboard for teaching during this Pandemic.

Today, my laptop got an update for Windows 10 version 2004.

Now, every time I draw on the Whiteboard, my laptop display blinks a number of times, then goes all black.

Restarting works, but temporarily. The issue persists.

There appears to be no solution yet..
