High performance Power plan missing.

Hi, i have a surface laptop and i cant change my performance in power options in control panel, it would just show balanced for me, and when i press create a new power plan i cant see high performance, it only shows balance, i need a way to get high performance can anyone please help me?

This is a temporary fix i guess, but it works for me nonetheless

using the command:

"powercfg -duplicatescheme 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c"

does not add the plan high performance in this power plan. So i ended up forcing the plan to run from cmd with this code:

"powercfg -s 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c"

and create the ".bat" file to have a launcher so i don't have to type whenever i need to use the plan. The plan runs after couple seconds of delay and appear alongside with "balanced plan". If you change the plan to the original one, the high performance one will dissapear so you need to launch the code again.

    After so many hours surfing the net I still could not find viable solution to the problem of missing High Power Option. I have new ASUS Zenbook UX325EA with the latest Intel 11 gen. processor. The OS is windows 10 Home, Build 19042.685.

    When using external disk it goes to sleep after few seconds. It takes 5 – 10 seconds to wake up again (for 3 external disks). It is extremely frustrating. I could not find any reasonable explanation for such stupid Microsoft decision. I regret thousand of times not to buy Apple.

    Now, I have tried every option to restore missing High Power Option and choose settings for hard disk and USB. There is also no CsEnabled entry in the registry of my PC.

    The solutions offered on the net are more or less involving cmd prompt commands which may work or not. In my case I tried one of them without success.

    I tried: powercfg -duplicatescheme 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c

    Please help!
