Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 will not work on this device?

Hello,

I am excited about the new flight simulator! I just purchased the Premium Deluxe edition from the Microsoft Website and seem to have installed the standard edition. I can see this in the Microsoft Store App. However, the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe edition have an exclamation point by them, and it sais that this will not work on your device for both the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe edition. I am wondering if I will still be able to access all the features of the Premium Deluxe and Deluxe edition because I paid for them. It seems like the two upgrade versions have not been installed, only the standard edition. It also sais the same thing for a lot of my other apps, but I don't use them. Thank you!

I read in a forum many if not all who purchased the premium are seeing the same thing.  Me included.  It was written that as the regular version hasn't really been released, yet, or installed on your computer, the other two upgrades will not work until it is installed.  Guess I'll see if he was right when it is released for install/use.

    Hi guys, in the CONTENT MANAGER SECTION of the game, there are 110 files to download but I can t do it.

    Any help for this?

    It seems as if we are talking 2 different problems here.  If you are getting lockups, before going through the crazy task of reinstalling Windows, check your VIRTUAL MEMORY settings and make sure they are set on System Managed.  I had a locked 8192 min/max and that was crashing the game hard.  As soon as I went back to System Managed, problems went away and I am now finally able to fly.  It's a pita setting up my old Sidewinder joystick though.  Flight Sim wouldn't do it automatically even though it is their joystick.

    As for the Premium/Deluxe issue, I still see exclamation as well, no matter what I try.  Still looking for an answer to that.

    Hey everyone, so i had this exact same problem and then yesterday i couldnt even open the game, it would start, and then stay on a black screen and not even play any of the opening credits scenes.

    So basically i uninstalled the app, deleted all the flight sim files and did another clean install of the installer via the microsoft store.

    This still didnt fix it so i got in touch with someone in microsoft support chat.

    They told me i should redownload Windows 10 and this would solve the problem of the black screen. I was very skeptical at first, he sent me this link:

    • Select “Download Tool Now”
    • And “Upgrade this PC” once the tool is downloaded.

    So i went through the entire process of redownloading Windows 10, computer restarted a couple of times and then it was done. Took me about half an hour. I then went back to the Flight Simulator installer selected “Run as Administrator” and boom, no more black screen, and once the download started occurring it began to download all my premium deluxe content. Download was approximately 95GB.

    This is obviously a long way of doing it, and my main issue was the black screen, but after i did this, everything worked. So if youre going to do this, make sure you have it uninstalled completely from computer and then just redownload the Flight Simulator App from the store and then redownload windows 10, and then start the download process again of flight simulator.

    Make sure you download the actual premium deluxe bundle in the store, and not the individual components of the bundle.

    Thanks Simon, spoke to a tech who had a look, no joy.  Told me to wait 24-48 hours then check back in with them......
