Windows Booting very slow after 2004 update ,

This item I spotted in another forum has helped me with a boot stall on the laptop (where during the "black screen with rotating dots" freezes for about 3 minutes).

I noticed when checking the Device Manager below, that after the MS Update upgraded the Intel Graphics Driver, this started to happen. Same on Desktop, but no noticeable stall like the Laptop was.  

Basically there were TWO Graphics Monitors,one in a LIGHT BLUE (the "ghost" device). Deleting this stopped the problem. I also deleted ALL other light grey items, as these might add delays to boot during Hardware Change scans. I also had to delete some "shadow Volumes" and other odd bits of "ghost" storage.

REMOVING GHOST DEVICES FROM DEVICE MANAGER:

Sometimes there are phantom devices left over from a removal that occurred without using safely remove OR an error in safely remove (or a failed/incorrect driver update), to resolve:-

click Start, search and type:- cmd , right click on the returned cmd.exe and select "run as administrator" at the prompt type:-

set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1       NOTE: Only needed if the "show hidden devices" view is NOT available.

Next:-  Type the following command (or right clck the START menu icon and select Device Manager from the list)

start devmgmt.msc (press enter)

Under "view" select "show hidden devices" expand the trees to locate your ghost devices (usually non present devices show with a faded icon) highlight, right click, and select uninstall. You can safely remove all devices with a faded Icon regardless of where they occur in device manager (always part of good maintenance regimes).

After doing the above REBOOT and RETEST your timings, and note any problem or error messages (I did NOT get any after doing the above, just better boot times).

I faced the same issue. Finally rolled back to the old version. Now the system is very smooth and fast.

but why i am not facing this problem , i'm using core2duo 1.87GHzwith windows 10 pro 64bits and 3GB of rams and 250GB hdd with only 225mb GPU!!! but still working acceptable " i mean working on VS and android studio not perfect but good" and my friends who has a better setup faced this problem!!! windows10 is totally insane hhhhh

Probably because it's hard to slow down something that's already slow.

Many people are telling that computer only HDD are slow with this update and this is totally wrong because i have laptop with 256SSD and windows uploaded on it though after the 2004 update only it has became slow.
