Windows Live Mail cannot display message after Windows 10 update

My laptop recently updated windows 10 (I think #1909) on it's own.  After the update, my Windows Live Mail quit working.  It downloads the message headers/titles, so I know it's connecting to the gmail server, but when I try to open the message, I get the error, "Message Can't be Displayed.  Windows live mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or disk space and try again."  I have plenty of memory and disk space.  Thanks for any suggestions!  (And yes, I know I should go to a newer email client, but I have too much wrapped up in Windows Live and just want to fix it!)  Rick

    Make sure the values are exactly as given. it's not "recreatefolderIndex" but "RecreateFolderIndex", same with the other two values. Mind the capitalization and  there should be no (trailing) spaces.

    Yeah not sure why but it's not working for me. I tried 32 bit 64 bit with a "1" with a "0".

    I have even rebooted to see if that changed anything. Do you have to close the registry for it to take affect? I copy and pasted the "recreatefolderIndex" into the registry from this feed could that make a difference if I typed them out instead?

    Any other suggestions I am game and appreciate all your advise.

    Once you have the three new Dwords created, just right click on them, click on "Modify" and then you can change the value.  By the way, my values did not all go to zeros, but WLM is working fine.

    do I put the "= 1" in the description? I did it both ways and it still didn't work.  I put the 1 in Hexadecimal is that correct?
