I faced a bsod an hour or so ago. It was DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL and I think its related with a sound driver. And also an IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL.

Hello,

The ntoskrnl.exe doesn't point to any specific issue. Most BSOD will have ntoskrnl.exe but will also indicate a specific component with a the problem.

Kernel is generally referring to processing, but in your case that could be CPU, or could be the motherboard.

Rdyboost.sys is a Windows driver. A driver is a small software program that allows your computer to communicate with hardware or connected devices. This means that a driver has direct access to the internals of the operating system, hardware etc.

Again this could mean virtually anything connected to the motherboard.

It does indicate a motherboard problem, but without the vendor assistance in troubleshooting it will be difficult to ascertain what part is the problem.

In the past when i'm liaised with hardware vendors over problems such as this, more often they themselves even replace the parts out rather than try and troubleshoot now.

As I recommended before, due to the age of your system, if you do replace the motherboard, you may consider replacing the CPU and memory at the same time.

I understand the frustration of Windows 10 behaving like this especially after you have spent time on trying to resolve this issue already.

    How much the upload speed should be according to the download speed.

    I have downloaded all the files , thank you for the help . But is it safe to update my bios?

    Hello,

    It entirely depends on your Internet provider.

    There is no set amount.

    Unless you have a premium business line where it is a Synchronous connection (50 up, 50 down) for example, the upload will ALWAYS be a lot lower than download.

    For example I am in the UK and my Download is 70.50 Mbps Download and 23.79 Mbps upload but again that is Fibre, not regular boardband.

    Standard broadband does have a lot lower upload.

    Maybe restart your internet router and try the speed shortly after.

    Again, it will not be effecting your game download though.

    Yes I have a broadband connection and I'm okay with that speed ;p

    But concerning about the bios update , according to ASRock it is not safe to update BIOS.

    Hello,

    Generally the recommendation is to keep all drivers and BIOS up to date, however if you are not comfortable I would suggest just trying the recommendation with msconfig and seeing how you get on.

    Often as well the use of 3rd party Antivirus | Firewall products can have a significant impact on performance and cause BSOD and may be worth removing at least to check whether it is contributing to your problem.

    1. Run msconfig

    Choose Services tab

    Tick 'Hide all Microsoft Services'

    Change all remaining services to disabled

    Restart and check for BSOD occurrences

    1. Run msconfig

    Choose Startup tab

    Press Open Task Manager

    Change all Start-Up software to Disabled

    Restart and check for BSOD occurrences
