I faced a bsod an hour or so ago. It was DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL and I think its related with a sound driver. And also an IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL.

here are mini dumps.

Hello,

The ntoskrnl.exe doesn't point to any specific issue. Most BSOD will have ntoskrnl.exe but will also indicate a specific component with a the problem.

Kernel is generally referring to processing, but in your case that could be CPU, or could be the motherboard.

Rdyboost.sys is a Windows driver. A driver is a small software program that allows your computer to communicate with hardware or connected devices. This means that a driver has direct access to the internals of the operating system, hardware etc.

Again this could mean virtually anything connected to the motherboard.

It does indicate a motherboard problem, but without the vendor assistance in troubleshooting it will be difficult to ascertain what part is the problem.

In the past when i'm liaised with hardware vendors over problems such as this, more often they themselves even replace the parts out rather than try and troubleshoot now.

As I recommended before, due to the age of your system, if you do replace the motherboard, you may consider replacing the CPU and memory at the same time.

I understand the frustration of Windows 10 behaving like this especially after you have spent time on trying to resolve this issue already.

Thanks again for your patience.

    Hello ,

The complete memory dump was created but it is too large to upload or send almost 3.6 GB.

And just now I also faced a new BSOD named as SYSTEM STORE EXCEPTION when was restarting my pc to get the memory dump generated. Seems like this BSOD was caused by ReadyBoost.

    Thank you

Ok, lets leave the memory.dmp for now.

    Lets Check Hard Disk Health

For the health diagnosis, we will be using Crystal Disk info which is a small tool that can let you know about the status of your hard drive. Download it from this link.

    https://osdn.jp/frs/redir.php?m=cznic&f=%2F...

The downloaded file will be an executable one. Double click on it and follow the on-screen instructions to install it.

The tool should install pretty quickly. Once it does, launch it and the main window should be able to give you the status of your hard drive. On normal hard drives, it says “Good”, but if you are having some issues, it will have scarier things to say like “Bad” for example.

If the tool diagnoses your hard drive to be “bad” then that’s the cause of your problem. We recommend replacing the hard drive to solve the issue. If however you got a “Good” status report and this method too didn’t work for you, then we have one last method to recommend.

Next as we know there is nothing fundamentally wrong, lets try this to stop the BSOD occuring.

    Disable Windows Automatic Restart Feature

At First, Right click on This PC/ My Computer and then select properties.

In the left-hand panel of the window, select Advanced system settings.

Go to the Advanced tab and under the Startup and Recovery option, click on Settings.

Under the System Failure option, uncheck Automatically Restart, then click OK.

    Thank you

So , the Hard Disk Status was good. And I will follow your 2nd option to disable Automatic restart.

I stated you my 2 drivers which are at fault i.e. , ntoskrnl.sys and rdyboost.sys. Is there any way to repair or replace them or is there anything else I should do?

    Thank you again
