I faced a bsod an hour or so ago. It was DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL and I think its related with a sound driver. And also an IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL.

Hello,

The ntoskrnl.exe doesn't point to any specific issue. Most BSOD will have ntoskrnl.exe but will also indicate a specific component with a the problem.

Kernel is generally referring to processing, but in your case that could be CPU, or could be the motherboard.

Rdyboost.sys is a Windows driver. A driver is a small software program that allows your computer to communicate with hardware or connected devices. This means that a driver has direct access to the internals of the operating system, hardware etc.

Again this could mean virtually anything connected to the motherboard.

It does indicate a motherboard problem, but without the vendor assistance in troubleshooting it will be difficult to ascertain what part is the problem.

In the past when i'm liaised with hardware vendors over problems such as this, more often they themselves even replace the parts out rather than try and troubleshoot now.

As I recommended before, due to the age of your system, if you do replace the motherboard, you may consider replacing the CPU and memory at the same time.

I understand the frustration of Windows 10 behaving like this especially after you have spent time on trying to resolve this issue already.

    I already had done all those steps and as the other expert commanded I installed Crystal Clear App which shows my Hard Disk Status as Good.

    Both seem to be related to memory though.

    With your motherboard being old it could be the memory, or it could be the motherboard at fault.

    If you do decide to replace your motherboard, you will probably update the CPU and memory anyway but be aware it could be memory as well.

    What is rdyboost? The genuine rdyboost. sys file is a software component of Microsoft Windows Operating System by Microsoft. A startup driver for the Ready Boost package, this system file allows your computer to utilize available flash media to assist your system RAM in offloading some of the workload.

    I don't think the sys files are drivers, they are the files being impacted by what is causing the fault.

    Do seeing ntoskrnl.sys and rdyboost.sys means they are what are being effected, they are not the cause.

    Those two are normal Win10 system files and are required.

    I hope 2nd option to disable Automatic restart will solve this for you, as I cannot see anything else wrong and we have updated all we can.
