BSoD after update to Version 2004

I faced a BSoD problem today, 1 week after upgrading to Version 2004 feature update. 

The error shows 

VIDEO TDR FAILURE 

atikmpag.sys failed. 

Here's what i have tried so far- 

 1.Tried rebooting several times 

  1. Restore to a previous setting 
  2. Uninstall latest updates (2004 version updates)
  3. Reset the PC (without data erasing).

The error is stil persistent. Please help.

    Hi Harshvardhan

    You certainly have been busy and performed a lot of troubleshooting . . .

    So It seems with each version update of Windows 10 more and more hardware becomes deprecated . . .

    From your description, the only solution I can see, is to re-install Windows 10 version 1909 and immediately disable that Radeon GPU, and rely on the other graphics option . . .

    Hey Dave,

    Here's the detailed description of what all I tried after your previous reply - 

    1. Went to the intel drivers link specified above and tried installing the latest drivers - 

    This install failed and the error message was - 

    1. So I did some research on the above on the intel website, turns out they have discontinued these drivers now. The failure reasons were also mentioned -

    1. Next I went to AMD Community website to check problems with the graphics that my system defaults to - Radeon 7500M/7600M. Looks like they too have discontinued the driver support - https://community.amd.com/thread/245047
    2. As suggested by you, with the help of Microsoft support personnel, I custom installed the previous stable win10 version 1909 on my system.
    3. The system setup completed and the windows update settings were all toggled to manual. Suddenly, another blue screen error occurred, this time with a new error as below - 

    This time, it is not even letting me log into safe mode with networking.

    Please guide further. 

    Apologies for the long post but I have tried a lot with a lot of desperation and had to mention everything for you to diagnose.

    Hi Harshvardhan

    Okay, so you do have dual graphics on your system and that Microsoft basic display adapter is you Intel Graphics 4000 device and that needs to have a driver installed onto that . . .

    Try running the Intel Driver and support Assistant to see if that can find the correct driver for that Intel HD graphics option on your system

    Hey Dave,

    Sorry could not post that as the custom install of 1909 took some time and then the repeated failure just frustrated me to an extent that I shut it down for the day. 

    Yes, there are 2 graphic options -

    1. AMD Radeon 7500M/7600M (2 Versions - 2015 and 2016)
    2. Microsoft basic display adapter. 

    When i select the second option it does not allow basic features like brightness toggle and a driver update updates to the first option which crashes the system.

    Please let me know if this information is sufficient or do I need to specifically upload the screenshot for you to refer something else.

    Hi Harshvardhan

    Previously I asked you to open Device Manager, then expand the Display Adapters section

    Please post a screenshot of that Device manager window . . .

    Is there two graphics options listed there, or just one?
