BSoD after update to Version 2004

I faced a BSoD problem today, 1 week after upgrading to Version 2004 feature update. 

The error shows 

VIDEO TDR FAILURE 

atikmpag.sys failed. 

Here's what i have tried so far- 

 1.Tried rebooting several times 

  1. Restore to a previous setting 
  2. Uninstall latest updates (2004 version updates)
  3. Reset the PC (without data erasing).

The error is stil persistent. Please help.

    Yes, you can still give him the ISO to install Windows 10 version 1903 . . .

    With regards to putting Windows 8 back on that PC, then yes, that will work flawlessly because the correct drivers are available for that version of Windows . . .

    Ok... But it also ran win10 older versions smoothly for almost 5 years... So, shall I give him the 1903 ISO file for install or not?

    Hey Dave, 

    I found out an authorised Sony service centre in my city. The guy there was quite supportive and understanding with my case and was willing to help. However, he said that the procedure would be such that he will install the default OS (win8) that my laptop was bought with and then upgrade to the win10 version I ask him for. 

    1. I wasn't sure how this would work and wanted your opinion on this. What do you say?? 
    2. Also, he said that he will do a basic servicing that involves dust cleaning and overhaul of internals. 

    For all this, they are charging about  Rs. 1200 (~USD 16-20). Worth it?

    Please answer both queries.
