Mouso core worker process

Exactly what happened for me. Sleep had stopped working MoUsoCoreWorker.exe not showing. Despite being very sceptical followed @SonyVG suggestion of pausing updates then rebooted and resumed updates and MoUsoCoreWorker.exe showed up again, then update offered me KB6401554.That was yesterday since then PC is sleeping properly again.

I guess this will be a reoccurrence every few months then. What a mess-up Microsoft hang your head in shame.

Thank you @Kalaglow I followed the same steps you mention and that same update KB6401554 showed up and installed I am restarting after the update and I'll see if that resolves the issue like it did for you. Microsoft has a mess with their updates every month they screw something up.

More specifically, every month they revert our computers to the same screw-up they introduced almost a year ago, which is an order of magnitude more reprehensible than the new bugs they introduce somewhat frequently and then scramble to correct.

So obnoxious and egregious is this MoUsoCoreWorker bug that it leads me to believe that all Microsoft supervisory personnel have lost touch with the Windows user experience entirely. Had they not, a single command from on high -- "Fix this before EOB today!" -- would certainly have been sent many months ago.

(Meanwhile, my Macs get updates periodically and go years between problems caused by them, while the update process, itself, has remained problem-free for decades.)

My computer (Windows 10, 64-bit Build 19041) is constantly waking up from sleep and then going back to sleep for a short time only to repeat the cycle.  I ran sleep diagnostics on the Windows PowerShell as administrator i.e. powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics.  The report from yesterday (5/31/2020) indicates that my computer awoke from sleep 50-55 times during the course of the day until at about 8:00 p.m., I decided that it was better to fully shut down the computer rather than have these continued cycles.  The common thread in all these awakenings from sleep is MoUSO Core Worker Process (MoUsoCoreWorker.exe).

This executable is a Microsoft programming element. 

 Why is this happening and what can I do to eliminate this totally annoying phenomena?

Go to Services > Windows Update and right click on "Manual (Trigger Start)" in the Startup Type column and then in the popup dialog box that appears click "Restart". This eliminates the MoUsoCoreWorker. exe in the Cmd window when you run powercfg -requests.

i have had this same problem on my pc on windows 10. Could NOT figure it out did research for hours . pulled up command prompts and only thing it said was i needed to preform an execution for mousocore worker. Even tried an override code . nothing worked, Finally i got the bright idea to go to task manager find mousocoreworker.exe running under backround processes and right click to end task. Working fine now and my computer went straight to sleep after. hope this saves some time and frustration for someone
