I restarted the Windows Update service and MoUSO Core Worker Process (MoUsoCoreWorker.exe) was removed from Execution using the powercfg command. I also updated Windows 10 Home 20H2 19042.572, restarted the computer and still did not sleep. I had adjusted the power setting 2 weeks ago and the computer slept that week. Then last Monday, today is Sunday 1 November, the computer stopped sleeping. I don't understand what the issue is. I am going to try and stop the process in task manager.
Mouso core worker process
My computer (Windows 10, 64-bit Build 19041) is constantly waking up from sleep and then going back to sleep for a short time only to repeat the cycle. I ran sleep diagnostics on the Windows PowerShell as administrator i.e. powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics. The report from yesterday (5/31/2020) indicates that my computer awoke from sleep 50-55 times during the course of the day until at about 8:00 p.m., I decided that it was better to fully shut down the computer rather than have these continued cycles. The common thread in all these awakenings from sleep is MoUSO Core Worker Process (MoUsoCoreWorker.exe).

This executable is a Microsoft programming element.
Why is this happening and what can I do to eliminate this totally annoying phenomena?

2020-11-02T12:52:36+00:00 This also just started happening to me a few days ago. I have tried everything, including re-starting the computer and doing a Windows update.
Has anyone resolved this issue?

2020-11-05T16:36:52+00:00 Here's a useful article that details the issue and provides a resolution. Although it might be a temporary one, it works for me until Microsoft sorts it out. Atleast I can understand the issue and how to sort it manually for now.

2020-11-06T11:26:02+00:00 Windows insomnia continues. Every fix is temporary because of MoUSO Core Worker. Sleep mode was an essential function. We're sorry to see it go.
