Mouso core worker process

I think it is still worthwhile to keep this discussion here. I thought my issue was with MoUsoCoreWorker.exe because that's what I saw in the powercfg.exe output when the display would instantly wake back up from the sleep that was just started. However, this was a red herring, at least for me. The real issue was the USB device. I discovered that because of a suggestion in this thread.

After initially observing the MoUSO issue in play via the powercfg CMD, I tried ALL of the suggestions in this thread with no success. 

I have just tested an application I have running on my PC called GoodSync, which runs in the background and at allocated times runs back up jobs.  I turned of the scheduled back up and YEAH, computer slept as per settings.

Turn back on schedule, no sleep.

It is suspicious that this problem started happening at same time as the update that cuased the MoUSO issue but I can say for sure it is related because I just do now.

Not helpfully Goodsync support says:

GoodSync receives wakeup signall all the time.

and it does not generate it itself.

so GS has nothing to do with this -- find a real source of wakeup

Thanks for the reply, however (with respect), your answer does not respond to the question.

Even if GS does not generate wakeup signal, GS IS WHAT IS STOPPING THE SLEEP.

When GS is set to "On Schedule" & "Run without User Interface (Unattended)" my computer does NOT go to sleep.

When GS is set to NOT Set to "On Schedule" & "Run without User Interface (Unattended)" my computer DOES go to SLEEP.

GS is the only thing that changes the result from no sleep to sleep.

Please think about / look again or pass this issue on to another tech

Its not solved but I hope this helps someone .

I manually ran my windows updates and got a cumulative update that fixed the issue. 

What was the KB?

Just wondering, and yes I know we are on a Microsoft site and all of that, but has this been logged as an official problem - or is it just us powerless munchkins screaming to each other in the dark, hoping someone is listening, only to find out that the only other people who know about this are also powerless munchkins.....

SOLVED (for me),  even though GoodSync check for updates showed it as up to date, their supprt sent me a link to an update. It is later version and now the problem is gone.

I suspect the problem was from the update because that is when it started (and i observed the MOUSO) and the GS software has been adapted to deal with it.  So many waisted hours and so much frustration ...
