Mouso core worker process

My computer (Windows 10, 64-bit Build 19041) is constantly waking up from sleep and then going back to sleep for a short time only to repeat the cycle.  I ran sleep diagnostics on the Windows PowerShell as administrator i.e. powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics.  The report from yesterday (5/31/2020) indicates that my computer awoke from sleep 50-55 times during the course of the day until at about 8:00 p.m., I decided that it was better to fully shut down the computer rather than have these continued cycles.  The common thread in all these awakenings from sleep is MoUSO Core Worker Process (MoUsoCoreWorker.exe).

 Why is this happening and what can I do to eliminate this totally annoying phenomena?

    Exactly what happened for me. Sleep had stopped working MoUsoCoreWorker.exe not showing. Despite being very sceptical followed @SonyVG suggestion of pausing updates then rebooted and resumed updates and MoUsoCoreWorker.exe showed up again, then update offered me KB6401554.That was yesterday since then PC is sleeping properly again.

    I guess this will be a reoccurrence every few months then. What a mess-up Microsoft hang your head in shame.

    Thank you @Kalaglow I followed the same steps you mention and that same update KB6401554 showed up and installed I am restarting after the update and I'll see if that resolves the issue like it did for you. Microsoft has a mess with their updates every month they screw something up.

    Hello,

    in my case there was incoming update to install.

    I pause WindowsUpdate and then resume it. Then WU download KB4601554 and install it and process MoUSO was gone from waking my PC.

    Ugh, I just had the same thing. Been having occasional issues with MoUsoCoreWorker.exe keeping the computer from sleeping. It just started yesterday for me.

    I manually checked for updates and saw that KB4023057 was available. I don't think it should keep the PC away just because there are updates waiting to install, but I installed it anyway and rebooted. Still showing that Uso Worker was keeping it awake.

    Uses @SonyVG suggestion of pausing updates and I saw that "powercfg /requests" was no longer showing Uso Worker keeping it awake. I then resumed Updates and saw Uso Worker keeping it awake again, but then less than 1 minute later it offered me KB6401554 so I'm installing it and rebooting. Hopefully that will resume sleep successfully.
